A body composition scan goes far beyond what a scale can tell you. It measures your body fat percentage, lean muscle mass, visceral fat level, total body water, bone density, and resting metabolic rate — giving you a complete picture of what's actually happening inside your body. This data is the foundation of any intelligent wellness strategy.
The scale is one of the most misleading tools in wellness. Two people can weigh exactly the same and have completely different body compositions — and therefore completely different health risks and wellness needs. Someone who is 'normal weight' but has high visceral fat (the dangerous fat around organs) is at significantly greater health risk than someone who weighs more but has low visceral fat and high muscle mass.
We use your scan results to help you understand where you are, set meaningful goals, and track real progress over time. Many of our members are shocked to discover that what they thought was a weight problem is actually a muscle loss problem — or that their 'healthy weight' is masking dangerous levels of visceral fat. Knowledge is power, and this scan gives you the knowledge to make genuinely informed decisions about your health.

Common Questions
The scan uses bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) — a safe, painless electrical signal that passes through your body and measures the resistance of different tissues. Fat, muscle, and water all conduct electricity differently, allowing precise measurement of each.
The scan itself takes about 5 minutes. We recommend 15–20 minutes for a full review of your results with our staff.
Every 4–8 weeks is ideal for tracking progress. More frequent scans can show day-to-day fluctuations that aren't meaningful.
Avoid eating, drinking, or exercising for 2 hours before your scan for the most accurate results. Remove shoes and socks for the measurement.
