The scale is one of the most misleading tools in wellness. Two people can weigh exactly the same and have completely different body compositions — and therefore completely different health risks and wellness needs. How does the scan work?

The scan uses bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) — a safe, painless electrical signal that passes through your body and measures the resistance of different tissues. Fat, muscle, and water all conduct electricity differently, allowing precise measurement of each.

How long does it take?

The scan itself takes about 5 minutes. We recommend 15–20 minutes for a full review of your results with our staff.

How often should I scan?

Every 4–8 weeks is ideal for tracking progress. More frequent scans can show day-to-day fluctuations that aren't meaningful.

What should I do before my scan?

Avoid eating, drinking, or exercising for 2 hours before your scan for the most accurate results. Remove shoes and socks for the measurement.
